Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine. The Hua Hin Weather is one of the main reasons that Hua Hin is such a popular Thailand resort.
Is the Hua Hin Weather for You?
Hua Hin weather is a typical tropical climate with high humidity and occasional rain. It is typically pleasant. Generally, the cool season is from November to February. The hottest months are March thru May. The rainy season begins in June and ends in October, however, since the weather is tropical, the rain outbursts are short, sporadic and heavy.
Having said that, Hua Hin has one of the lowest rainfall measurements in the country.
If the Hua Hin weather starts to become a little hot for you then just head on down to the beach where you’ll normally find a nice breeze.

Hua Hin Weather : The Seasons
Dry season
Roughly speaking the “cool, dry” season is from November-February. At this time of year, nights can get cool and the average temperature is 26 degrees centigrade. There is plenty of sunshine, although it is not as strong as later in the year. Tides are high and it can get windy in the afternoons, although rain is very seldom experienced.
Wet season
The “rainy” season lasts from July-October. However, Hua Hin does not suffer from the monsoon downpours that the North and South get. You can expect temperatures to be at an average of 28 degrees centigrade with the evenings slightly cooler than in the hot season. Mornings can be overcast, but most days brighten up and become hot and humid. Any rain is normally reserved for mid afternoons as cloud cover builds up over the hills in Burma (Myanmar) and when showers occur, they don’t last long and are a refreshing respite to the balmy days. Tides are low and the sea is generally calm.
Flooding has been known in downtown areas after heavy downpours however runoff is usually fairly quick as backed up rain water makes its way to the ocean.
Hot season
The “hot” season extends from March-June. Temperatures can easily reach an average of 29 degrees centigrade, with daytime heat rising to 35 degrees+. Nights are also hot and humidity rises. Tides are not so high, but it can again get windy in the afternoons. Towards the end of this season, it is not unusual to get some showers, but only in the afternoons and lasting generally not longer than an hour or so.
Clothes for the Hua Hin Weather
Not sure what clothes to bring for a trip to Hua Hin Thailand. Not much would be the short answer. The Hua Hin weather is pretty nice all year round. You can see from the temperature graph above that it never really gets cold. In fact the coldest places you are likely to experience are inside the shopping malls and restaurants where they have air conditioning.
If it’s raining then you can always borrow an umbrella from the hotel or pick one up cheap at a shopping center, rain jackets are not required.
As Hua Hin is a seaside resort people tend to dress pretty casual with shorts and T-shirt or a light dress. But whatever you choose to wear always protect yourself from the Sun. Even when it’s overcast you can still pick up a mean tan.
Hua Hin Weather Overview
If you like it a bit cooler and dry then come at the beginning of the year. If you want a bit of heat and the occasional shower then come in May to July. If you prefer it humid with the chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms then come August to November.
So there you have it! Hua Hin weather in a nutshell.
